I am currently recruiting for an experienced Bookkeeper for my client who specializes in Accounting, Taxation and Financial Management. Based in Merseyside, they are a lean, friendly team, and the successful candidate will gain exposure and experience within this industry. You must be flexible with a good attitude as teamwork is crucial for this company.
As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records of the company by accurately recording the day-to-day financial transactions in a timely manner.
As the Bookkeeper, your responsibilities will be:
1. Check and verify all invoices and receipts.
2. Enter and balance accounts on a daily basis.
3. Maintain orderly financial filing systems.
4. Prepare month-end accounts and reports.
5. Preparation of VAT returns.
6. Assist the Finance department with other duties where necessary.
7. Completing Day books and running reports.
8. Purchasing & Invoicing and completing bank reconciliations.
The successful Bookkeeper will have the following skills & experience:
1. Must have Bookkeeping/Accounting working experience.
2. Payroll Experience.
3. Ideally hold a qualification within a relevant discipline.
4. Excellent knowledge of SAGE and MS Office (Word & Excel) - Essential.
5. Good attention to detail.
6. Ability to prioritize work.
You will be offered a starting salary of up to £20K with the opportunity for progression and exposure, holidays, on-site parking with plenty of local amenities close by.
