Job Description
Are you driven to help reduce our impact on the climate? We are seeking an experienced leader with a proven track record in managing and reducing greenhouse gas emissions across various projects, from local schemes to nationally significant infrastructure projects. You will support clients in transport, power, renewable energy, and water sectors to deliver low-carbon and sustainable projects.
The role is part of our growing Carbon and ESG Practice, comprising over 50 professionals across the UK, providing services in decarbonisation, climate risk, circular economy, waste management, social impact, and sustainability to corporates and infrastructure providers.
You will work with the Practice leadership and Carbon Service Line lead to expand greenhouse gas advisory services in alignment with our business strategy.
This position supports hybrid working and can be based from our offices in Birmingham, Basingstoke, Bristol, Cardiff, Croydon, Dublin, Edinburgh, Leeds, London, Nottingham, or Manchester.
Candidate Requirements
* Extensive experience in assessing and managing greenhouse gas emissions in infrastructure projects within transport, power, renewables, and water sectors.
* Knowledge of the UK planning system concerning climate impacts and GHG/environmental impact assessment processes.
* Experience developing carbon management and Net Zero Transition Plans.
* Strong understanding of GHG reporting methodologies such as GHG Protocol, PAS2080, ISO 14000 series, and UK/EU policies.
* Proven leadership in managing, motivating, and developing teams.
* Commercial awareness in project delivery, business development, and proposal writing.
Qualifications
* Experience in delivering GHG management services in relevant sectors like power, renewables, carbon capture, and water transportation.
* Ability to develop greenhouse gas targets and understanding of nature-based solutions and offsetting.
