Bid Manager - Infrastructure / Construction / EV - Durham - Hybrid - £50k-£65k (benefits/bonus)
Hybrid (3 Days in Durham Office)
The ideal candidate will have experience writing tenders and bids for large-scale infrastructure projects, specifically within the EV charging, ICP (Independent Connection Provider), and utilities sectors. As a Bid Manager, you will be responsible for leading the bid process, writing high-quality proposals, and ensuring that submissions meet client requirements, deadlines, and quality standards.
Bid Management: Lead and manage the end-to-end bid process for EV, ICP, and utility projects, ensuring compliance with all tender requirements.
Proposal Writing: Write compelling, clear, and technically accurate proposals for a range of infrastructure projects, demonstrating expertise in the EV, ICP, and utilities sectors.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and senior management, to gather the necessary information for bids and ensure a coordinated approach to proposals.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all bids are thoroughly checked for accuracy, compliance, and consistency before submission.
Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry trends, customer requirements, and competitor activity to continuously improve the quality of bid submissions.
Experience: Proven experience in bid management, specifically within the EV, ICP, and utilities sectors.
Bid Writing Expertise: Strong ability to write high-quality, technically accurate tenders and proposals that align with client expectations and evaluation criteria.
Project Management Skills: Experience in managing multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality submissions.
Stakeholder Management: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal teams and clients.
Commercial Acumen: Understanding of pricing strategies, contract terms, and value propositions.
IT Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software for bid writing and document management.
Qualifications: A degree in a relevant field is preferred, though not essential.
