This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real difference by supporting the delivery of effective health and safety strategies across all of our sites.
About the Role:
Working closely within a team of Health and Safety professionals, you will help support our managers and staff in ensuring that our operations and functional activities comply with our internal assurance arrangements, policies and procedures that are designed to help deliver compliance with our health and safety duties.
Working with the Health and Safety Lead, the post holder will be part of a team who are required to ensure compliance with statutory legislation.
Main Duties
1. Health and Safety Auditing, Inspections and Investigations
2. RIDDOR reporting and investigations
3. Delivering health and safety training
4. Compiling reports and recommendations
5. Provide support and advice and guidance on a range of health and safety topics
Requirements
Ideally, you should hold a General H&S Certificate (IOSH / BSC) and be working towards your Level 5 health and safety qualification. Previous experience in undertaking health and safety activities is desirable. You should be self-motivated and able to work independently and prioritize assigned tasks effectively. You should also possess strong communication and teamworking skills.
Desirable
Whilst experience in working in the NHS or a healthcare setting is desirable, it is not essential. As a team player, you’ll be able to prioritize your work in order to meet deadlines and have a team-focused approach.
