Our client is one of the leading specialists in the field of manufacturing. They are looking to strengthen their Estimating team with an ambitious Estimator due to growth in their already extensive portfolio of work across the North of England. You will be an experienced Estimator with good product knowledge of joinery or construction.
The Estimator position requires excellent communication to liaise with Design, Commercial and Project-Delivery colleagues throughout the tender and construction process. The role is primarily office based with the Estimator working to prepare accurate time, resource, material, plant and equipment cost estimates and schedules that can be clearly and easily presented to Directors for their agreement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Liaise with the Sales & Commercial Director and Sales Co-ordinators to ensure quotes/specifications meet customer needs.
2. Maintain a high level of customer service throughout all actions with customers.
3. Provide technical support to colleagues.
4. Supervise, motivate and assist with the development of the sales, estimating and technical support team functions.
5. Prepare schedules and quotations for products within the fenestration industry.
Key Qualifications:
1. Customer-focused individual that is willing to go the extra mile whilst keeping a good level of customer service.
2. The ability to build strong working relationships with other team members and customers.
3. Ability to follow procedures methodically.
4. Experience working in an estimating/scheduling role and providing technical support within a fenestration business.
