Job Description
ADM Agriculture operates from locations throughout England and offers a people-based quality service to farmers and consumers. As well as providing an integrated supply chain to ADM’s UK assets in milling and oil seed crushing, ADM Agriculture supplies a full range of non-grain feed ingredients to the feed and fuel markets, alongside a comprehensive range of seed and fertiliser products.
Responsibilities & Role Purpose
Reporting to the Head of Fertiliser, the Senior Fertiliser Manager will be responsible for meeting the profit objectives set by the Company and developing opportunities and margin on fertiliser:
1. To work with the Head of Fertiliser to appraise the needs of the business and help to develop strategies that will continue to drive the business forward in a successful and profitable manner.
2. Working with the Head of Fertiliser aligning on the budget and P&L of the fertiliser business.
3. In conjunction with the Head of Fertiliser, design and deliver strategies that will provide the most effective return for the company.
4. To assist the Head of Fertiliser in managing the company’s risk and market exposure on a daily basis and assess/utilise the most effective strategies.
5. Identify opportunities to expand the ADM fertiliser portfolio offering.
6. Working with the Head of Fertiliser to manage, develop and expand fertiliser activities.
7. To support in the delivery of company goals.
8. To build and grow relationships with strategic business partners.
9. To conduct weekly meetings with your direct reports and ensure goals are reviewed quarterly and development plans are put in place.
Your Profile
1. A degree in Agriculture, Business, Economics, Mathematics or similar discipline would be beneficial.
2. FACTS qualified and highly respected in the fertiliser industry.
3. 5 years+ proven fertiliser experience with at least 1 year in a management role.
4. Must be a positive and inspiring manager who can bring people together as a team and support learning and development.
5. Excellent business acumen with strong commercial aptitude being able to demonstrate delivery of profitable results.
6. Strong communication skills and ability to interact positively with stakeholders at all levels.
7. Assertive and highly motivated to set challenging goals to meet the needs of the business.
8. Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment being able to meet strict deadlines.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office and utilising skills to work on bespoke systems.
10. Experience of working in a global organisation.
