We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our busy admin team within Medicine Business Unit at North Tyneside General Hospital.

The successful candidate will provide transcription, administrative and secretarial support services to the team. The post holder must be able to use their own initiative, work under pressure, keep to strict deadlines and have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge of IT packages and applications is essential. G2 software knowledge is desirable but training will be provided. ECDL and knowledge of PAS and previous experience working within the healthcare environment would be desirable.
We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate. To assist in the general efficient running of sub-speciality offices including managing/arranging appointments, typing/G2 transcription, filing, retrieval and storage of patient records, handling post and dealing with telephone enquiries.
