Responsibilities:
* Provide support to production processes and assist with the development, testing and introduction of new products.
* Develop and implement improvements in department wide processes, procedures and systems.
* Improve the overall reliability and performance of plant, personnel and production equipment and processes.
* Carry out feasibility studies for new technical innovations, testing installations and systems, analysing data.
* Help with installation and commissioning of new equipment and processes.
* Maintain and develop the delivery of finished products in line with cost, quality and production schedule requirements.
* Implement standard operating procedures across all areas of responsibility.
* Health and Safety awareness will be amongst your main priorities, and Health and Safety guidelines should be actively adhered to and promoted.
* Communicate, liaise and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.
* develop strong relationships with plant management functions. In addition you will foster and develop excellent relationships with key business stakeholders.
Your Skills and Expertise
* Higher educational qualifications in an Engineering discipline preferably Mechanical/Automation/Process or similar
* Hands-on experience in a manual and automated assembly manufacturing environment.
* Experience of lean manufacturing techniques and/or Six Sigma
* Experience of manual and automated assembly processes
* Experience in managing small/medium sized projects
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Versatile and a self-starter able to work without supervision.
