I have an EXCITING role for an experienced care manager to join Wales' largest not-for-profit learning disabilities services. The organisation was established over 35 years ago and supports service users aged 18-65 to live as independently as possible.
The Area Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality support services within a designated area. This role involves ensuring that individuals receive the necessary support to achieve positive life outcomes, promoting a culture of engagement and participation, and managing staff effectively.
* Salary: £35,949 - £41,927
* Hours: Full Time 37 hours a week
* Contract: Permanent
* Shifts: Monday to Friday
* Location: Hybrid working with office in Denbigh

As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
* Ensure that support services are delivered to the highest standards, meeting or exceeding regulatory requirements
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support services to identify areas for improvement.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
* Foster a culture of engagement and participation, empowering individuals to have a strong voice and control over their care.
* Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and aspirations.
* Promote self-determination and independence.
* Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of support staff.
* Provide regular supervision and support to staff members.
* Ensure that staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver effective support.
* Promote a culture of safeguarding and positive risk-taking.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders, including social services, inspectors, health professionals, landlords, and families.
* Represent the organisation effectively in external meetings and forums.
* Collaborate with other agencies and organisations to improve outcomes for individuals.
* Develop and manage budgets for the area, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively.
* Monitor financial performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Requirements:
* At least 2 years' experience of working with people with learning disabilities or with people with other support needs.
* The ability to achieve results through managing colleagues' performance and monitoring and evaluating service provision.
* NVQ or QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care.
* Full UK Driver's Licence.
* The ability to provide direction for colleagues and managers through supervision and team meetings and delegation of work.
