What we are looking for We are looking for a Feel Good Suffolk Area Coordinator to join our Communities Team. About the role Feel Good Suffolk is an exciting partnership across Suffolk with the aim of empowering clients to take control of their health and wellbeing with lifestyle and behaviour changes. As the Feel Good Suffolk Area Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of effective and efficient behaviour change services in Mid Suffolk and Babergh. These services cover three key thematic areas of health behaviours: physical activity, healthy weight and smoking cessation. We are looking for a motivated and organised Feel-Good Suffolk Area Coordinator to coordinate Feel Good Suffolk services within Babergh and Mid Suffolk districts and lead a team of Feel Good Suffolk Advisors within these localities. Working alongside the Feel Good Suffolk Strategic Manager and Health, Wellbeing and Communities teams in Babergh and Mid Suffolk, you will ensure that the highest possible standards of care are always applied and adhered to from the Feel Good Suffolk delivery team, and provide operational cover where required to ensure continuity of services, whilst supporting the ongoing development of local delivery. You’ll be joining an enthusiastic team working as part of a wider partnership across the county to deliver the best outcomes for the people of Suffolk. About you You will have experience of managing and leading a team, alongside strong knowledge of the local area and provision around health (including VCFSE and leisure organisations, and community provision). You will also require a strong understanding of wider health determinants and barriers to healthy lifestyles within the localities, with the aim to reduce health inequalities impacting upon health behaviours. You will be organised and able to work under pressure to tight timescales, with excellent internal and external stakeholder engagement and management skills.
