Teaching Personnel are working with a local Secondary SEN school to help find Teaching Assistants to support small groups of pupils who have Special Educational Needs.
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a small and supportive school within an SEN School in Derby.
About the role:
1. Provide one-to-one and group support for pupils aged 11-16 with a range of SEN.
2. Collaborate with teachers to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
3. Assist pupils in their academic, emotional, and social development.
4. Monitor and report progress, ensuring that each child achieves their full potential.

What we are looking for:
1. Experience working with children or young people (especially those with SEN).
2. A patient, caring, and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills.
3. A commitment to the well-being and development of young children.
4. Relevant qualifications and training (e.g., Level 2 / Level 3 in Supporting Teaching or Learning, Manual handling) are an advantage but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
