Position: Residential Support Worker – Children’s Home (Oldbury)
Location: Oldbury, West Midlands
Salary: Up to £33,200 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
Hours: Full-time, 24-hour shifts including sleep-ins (approximately 10 per month), weekends, and bank holidays

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a 4-bed children’s home that is dedicated to providing exceptional care for children and young people aged 6–17 years who have experienced forms of trauma, neglect, exploitation, or abuse.
We are seeking a caring and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join the home in the Oldbury area. This role is both challenging and rewarding, offering the opportunity to create a nurturing environment where young people can grow, heal, and thrive.
Your Role & Responsibilities
As a Residential Support Worker, you will:
1. Provide a safe, supportive, and structured environment for young people
2. Build positive, trusting relationships through empathy, consistency, and understanding
3. Support young people in developing life skills, confidence, and independence
4. Encourage and facilitate educational, social, and recreational activities
5. Participate in key-working sessions and family contact visits
6. Assist with daily household tasks to maintain a homely environment
7. Keep accurate records and attend meetings as required

Essential Requirements:
* Aged 21 or over (due to regulatory requirements)
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role
* Level 3/4 Diploma in Children & Young People Workforce (or willingness to work towards it)
