We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Talent and Learning Operations Specialist to support and drive core learning and development activities within our People Team. This role will sit within our new People Products team which is focused on building innovative people programs, initiatives and services that put employee experience at the heart. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring a seamless and positive experience for employees throughout their growth and development journey at Checkout. You will be responsible for optimising our talent and Learning and Development (L&D) processes, implementing and managing our Learning Management System (LMS), and driving efficiency and effectiveness in all aspects of talent operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Optimisation: Analyse existing learning intake processes (e.g., technical, mandatory training, self-led learning) and identify opportunities for improvement and streamlining.
2. Systems Management: Administer and maintain our core LMS, acting as an SME and ensuring data integrity and optimal system utilisation.
3. Instructional design: Create meaningful learning experiences on the LMS based on content provided from SMEs.
4. External vendor management: Partner with external vendors and manage ongoing relationships and provisions e.g. Cornerstone, Coaching providers.
5. Course maintenance: Update online courses with enhancements and content updates.
6. Data Analysis and Reporting: Gather and analyse talent data to identify trends, measure effectiveness of programs, and provide insights to inform decision-making.
7. Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations. Conduct regular audits of talent processes and documentation working closely with our control function SMEs (legal, compliance, InfoSec, etc).
8. Employee Support: Provide support to employees and managers on learning queries, policies, processes, and systems.
9. Project Management: Support the implementation of new Talent development initiatives and projects, coordinating tasks and ensuring timely completion.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Proven Experience: Experience in a Talent Operations, L&D or HR Generalist role.
2. Systems Savvy: Proficiency in HR systems (e.g., ATS, LMS, HRIS) and strong data management skills.
3. Process Improvement Mindset: Demonstrated ability to analyze and improve processes.
4. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights.
5. Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
6. Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
7. Collaboration skills: Strong team player with the ability to build relationships up and down the organisation.
