Position: Corporate Publications Manager Location: Birmingham Salary: £41,000 - £45,000 Hybrid: 1 or 2 days in office, potential for remote Flexible working: 37.5hrs per week About Us: We are an independent organisation dedicated to improving legal services and ensuring fair and effective complaint handling. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to work within the Communications and Stakeholder Engagement team. Job Purpose: In this role, you will support senior leadership in providing accountability through high-quality publications to various stakeholders, including the Legal Services Board and consumer representatives. You will collaborate with the Strategic Engagement Manager to craft engaging digital content that raises our profile and shapes relevant policy and debate within and beyond legal services. Key Responsibilities: Corporate Publications: Lead the drafting and delivery of corporate publications, including the Business Plan, Budget consultations, Annual Report, and multi-year strategies. Ensure publications reflect activities, impact, and ambitions, creating a clear narrative. Support senior leadership in engaging with the Board and incorporating their feedback. Collaborate on strategic external engagement and develop consultation materials. Ensure publications meet formal accountability requirements. Manage third-party vendors for timely, high-standard publications. External Communications: Create engaging content for the website, media releases, blogs, and consultation responses. Translate insights into compelling communications, including reports and learning resources. Advise the Executive team on effective stakeholder communications. Management and Accountability: Manage and coach engagement officers, supporting team development. Promote understanding of corporate publications and communications. Support reporting and accountability related to publications and communications. Foster a positive, inclusive working culture. General: Adhere to policies and procedures. Identify and pursue relevant training opportunities. Participate in the Personal Development Review process. Ensure equality principles are reflected in all work. Experience in Ombudsman schemes, legal, or consumer advice sectors. Knowledge of content design, social media, digital content, and accessibility standards.
