This is a fantastic opportunity to join Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust. Do you have a background and experience within learning and development? Do you have a natural flair for developing people and helping to deliver continuous professional development? This is an exciting time to support the Trust in delivering an exceptional learning development experience, introducing a blended learning approach both virtually and face to face.
You will be working within the Learning and Development service and will be expected to deliver a quality and customer-focused service through innovative design and delivery techniques/methods focused on equipping our managers and staff to reach their full potential. Learning development and capability is a key component to deliver the Trust strategy, particularly vital to the people strategy ambition to create the best place to work for our staff.
Main duties of the job
You will adapt and deliver a wide range of learning and development interventions – management development, soft skills, core/essential skills, coaching, mentoring, appraisals, and more. You will support the Senior Learning and Development facilitator in developing effective people and management skills.
A relevant Undergraduate degree qualification or equivalent training or substantial experience in a management/training role within the learning and development field is essential. You will also have a formal qualification in teaching, e.g., PTTLS or Post Graduate Certificate in Education. You must be an excellent communicator who can quickly establish credibility with colleagues at all levels within the organisation.
You will have experience of working in a fast-paced environment and have the ability and resilience to adapt to changing requirements whilst maintaining a quality and customer-focused service.
This is a full time, permanent post.

Qualifications and experience
* Undergraduate degree or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through any combination of alternative study or employment in the learning and development field.
* PTTLS or Post Graduate Certificate in Education
* Substantial experience in a management/training role within the learning and development field
* Virtual facilitation
