We are seeking candidates who are organised, self motivated and who can work on their own and as part of a team with excellent written and oral communication skills.
Skills required:
1. Phlebotomy
2. Cannulation
3. Venepuncture
4. Preparing and delivering IV medication
5. Experience of PICC line and Midline care (essential)
6. Good knowledge of wound care and up to date dressings
7. Good I.T. skills and knowledge of I.T. Systems
You would be working with a small team of nursing and medical staff in an outpatient setting. The unit is an ambulatory attending unit. We take direct referrals from GPs, Podiatry, Admission Units, Inpatient Wards and Other Health Boards.
We are a seven day service delivering IV antibiotics to patients from all specialities who continue to require IV treatments which can be given once daily. Once converted to Complex Oral Treatments, the patients can continue to be reviewed at different time intervals until discharged to the care and follow up of their GPs.
