About The Role
As Stores Person, you will be responsible for the accurate issuing and return of materials, products, plant, and equipment or work wear, supporting the efficient operation and productivity of the service. We will look to you to ensure that pre-ordered materials or products are accurately picked and made available for collection by the agreed target date and time, as well as accurately inputting all issues and returns into the stock computer system. Part of your role will include the responsibility for taking delivery, checking and signing for goods received, offloading, and placing ready for storage or direct replenishment in the correct location, whilst updating the Stock computer system of all goods received in a timely manner.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* Stores experience in accepting deliveries of goods, undertaking accurate counts, and recording of receipts.
* Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels - this is key as this role will be working face to face with trades colleagues and contractors on a regular basis.
* Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.
* Experience of and qualification for Counterbalance/Reach forklift truck operation, though this would be beneficial but is not essential to the role.
* Able to develop and present written or verbal information in a clear and concise manner.
* The ability to observe security and safety measures at all times.
