UWE Bristol’s School of Health and Social Wellbeing runs a range of postgraduate (PG), undergraduate (UG) Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and international programmes related to nursing.
As a Lecturer in Adult Nursing, you’ll be teaching and assessing specifically related to nursing practice which could include UG nursing programmes including apprenticeships, an academic personal tutor role, research support for students, and being part of the nursing teams in curriculum development and quality monitoring.
There may also be PG CPD teaching in nursing or other relevant health and social care programmes aligned with your areas of expertise.
You’re a registered nurse with the NMC, who can demonstrate a range of experience. You have a strong understanding of promoting holistic patient-centered care, and effective communication is essential, alongside an understanding of assessment and management strategies, interprofessional and inter-agency working, and contemporary healthcare.
You have sound range of nursing experience as well as experience of working within an interdisciplinary team. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to close team working.

This post is based at our Glenside Campus which is set within beautiful grounds in Stapleton, just three miles north east of Bristol City Centre.

This is a full-time, permanent post, working on a 1.0FTE contract. This post is available on a job share basis for applicants wishing to work part time.
This role is therefore campus-based with the opportunity to work from home on agreement with your people manager.
