The CEO of this dynamic company is now seeking a versatile and highly skilled individual to support him on a strategic basis. This is an exciting role requiring exceptional organisational skills, business acumen, and the ability to manage a wide range of responsibilities, from executive support to contributing to strategic initiatives in these key industries.
It will be especially suitable for someone with an engineering or scientific background, or an interest in renewable energy and associated building systems, seeking to develop their business management and development skills.
Key responsibilities
* Support the CEO’s comprehensive schedule, supporting the CEO with better time management to focus on the key interactions with colleagues and other external parties.
* Understand the overall strategy and intent of the CEO in relation to the company’s diverse business units and interests.
* Assist the CEO in monitoring the performance of those business units against the intended strategic direction by undertaking relevant data analysis and reporting.
* Research and monitor the external environment that affects and impacts the company’s interests. Identify any action that needs to be taken as a result of any change in the external environment and bring it to the attention of the CEO.
* Act as a “sounding board” for new developments and opportunities which are identified both internally and externally. Provide the necessary data and insight to assist the CEO with strategic decision making impacting the business units.
* Prepare and organise high-quality presentations, reports, and summary information as required by the CEO.
* In conjunction with the COOs of the business units, assist with project oversight and tracking milestones across multiple business initiatives as identified by the CEO.
* Oversee correspondence, representing the CEO in a professional and informed manner.
Key requirements
* MBA or equivalent degree in business administration, with demonstrated understanding
* in varied business environments.
* Grow into the personal/executive assistant role supporting leadership across multiple industries.
* Strong understanding of renewable energy markets, sustainable building solutions,
* and related sectors.
* Ability to adapt to a broad range of business challenges and priorities.
* Advanced proficiency in business tools, including MS Office, financial software, and project management platforms.
* Exceptional organisational, research, and problem-solving skills.
* High level of professionalism, with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
* Passion for sustainability with flexibility to manage wide-ranging business needs.
* The ability to maintain discretion while handling confidential business matters at all times.
* Be self-starting, able to work and make decisions with incomplete data.
* Be collaborative, with good interpersonal skills and a solid understanding of the relationship between the CEO and the executive teams in the business units.
