Job Title: 1:1 Youth Worker
Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a 1:1 Youth Worker. This role involves working closely with children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as those with challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support children in achieving their full potential by working alongside the class teacher and contributing to learning plans.
* Assist children in lessons across the curriculum, providing individualized support and guidance.
* Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children with SEND or SEMH needs, or relevant transferable skills.
* Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm and patient demeanor in challenging situations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practices in education and SEND support.
