This is a challenging role requiring you to extract clinical information from patient’s case notes, translating medical terminology into nationally recognised, diagnostic and procedural codes, using national classifications in an accurate and timely manner.
The post provides great scope for personal and professional development and the opportunity to obtain a nationally recognised qualification in Clinical Coding.

2) Office of Population Census and Surveys Version 4 (OPCS4)
This work is vital in monitoring our clinical effectiveness and ensuring the hospital receives payment for health care it delivers in-line with the national reimbursement mechanism of Payment by Results (PbR).
