Job Title: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £45,000
Location: Canary Wharf
Rota: Days Monday to Friday
Lead Engineer with an Electrically Biased Multi Skilled background for a prestigious Financial Company based in Canary Wharf, London, E14. The candidate will be highly motivated, self-sufficient, highly skilled and possess confidence, with an ambitious outlook and willingness to succeed. Will be inducted into a highly skilled and experienced team of professional facilities management personnel, including directly with the client’s company Managing Director.

Duties:
1. To carry out PPM in accordance with set schedules, ensuring engineering standards are maintained to maximise the operational effectiveness and reliability of the Plant and associated systems.
2. Adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) requirements.
3. To ensure onsite Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to in all respects and to maintain accurate records/documentation associated with the Electrical & Mechanical aspects of the PPM and plant.
4. To respond in a prompt and effective manner to all Electrically & Mechanically related reactive maintenance issues and help desk requests.
5. Carry out technical surveys of the above services and systems, reporting findings to the Supervisor.
6. To co-ordinate initial actions associated with all requests from the client. Dealing with customer enquiries and complaints, reporting actions taken to line management.
7. Undertake follow up actions required to resolve situational circumstances for which you have been authorised to undertake.
8. Be an active participant in reviewing existing and implementing new techniques to enhance the service to our clients.
9. Electrical & Mechanical fault diagnosis associated with the PPM or Reactive maintenance of the site.
10. Carry out minor installation work to the above services and systems.
11. Repair and maintenance of lighting and distribution systems.
12. Carry out duties in accordance with company procedures and the clients’ requirements to fulfil contractual obligations.
13. In conjunction with other team members and other locations, establish contingency measures to ensure full services are available during periods of absence. Providing cover where necessary at other sites within a reasonable distance.
14. Undertake any training that may be required to fulfil duties.
15. Maintain test equipment and tools associated with your role, ensuring they are fit for purpose at all times.
16. To comply with any and all instructions given by Supervisor. Undertaking any other duties as reasonably requested, which are within your competence and experience.
Requirements:
1. City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 (Electrical Installation 2360) or recognized equivalent.
2. 18th Edition Institute of Electrical Engineers (I.E.E) Registration or recognized equivalent.
3. City & Guilds Part 3 (Electrical Installation 2360) or recognized equivalent.
4. City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing)
5. C&G Parts 1 & 2 Mechanical qualification
6. ACOP L8 training for water systems maintenance
7. Prior experience of Building Management Systems.
8. Previous work experience in a business-critical environment.
9. PASMA/IPAF certified.
10. Effective communication skills at all levels both orally and using IT platforms.
11. Experience in computer PPM management systems.
12. Experience with Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS).
13. Supervisory experience for future development.
14. Proactive approach.
15. Experienced in electrical installation work, plus electrical testing and inspection.
