You will be leading on all operational procurement activity, contract management of suppliers, owning key supplier relationships.
Fixed term contract until 01.12.2026, salary up to £40,000 yearly pro rata 2 days per week (15 hours) part time.
What skills/experience do I need to be successful?
* Experience supporting procurement activity end to end including supplier management with due consideration for political, economic, social, technological, legal, market, and environmental impact;
* Experience in both procurement processes, regulations and practice generally and leading operational activities within the Energy Market;
* Ability to give confidence to stakeholders, customers and suppliers at the highest level;
* Audit experience;
* Experience managing key suppliers against SLA’s & KPI’s.
How will I spend my time in this role?
* Proactive leadership for procurement activity and management of third party spend within operations;
* Supporting the execution of the procurement plan and strategy for the requirements from suppliers;
* Deliver procurement activities and influencing strategic and commercial decisions;
* Communication and management of relationship with external suppliers and partners at the relevant seniority levels, both during procurement processes and during the service delivery phase – act as a point of escalation if the Contract & Procurement Manager is not available;
* Ability to produce accurate and timely management information, including ensuring compliance with relevant procedures for governance, risk and control and assuring the quality of all required information for the Procurement and/or Executive leadership;
* Pro-active engagement with the business and/or service functions to plan and support procurement activity, supplier relationship and performance management and contract management;
* Reconciliation of services provided and adherence to contractual terms;
* Act as escalation point for the business with 3rd parties regarding disputes and queries;
* Act as a deputy for the Contract and Procurement Manager if required.
