The Warehouse Operative Role Gottlieb Packaging Materials, part of Macfarlane Group PLC, the UK's largest packaging distributor are seeking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our established team based in Manchester (Trafford Park). As an integral part of our national logistics team, warehouse operatives play a key role in ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. Undertaking a range of warehouse related duties including forklift driving and encompassing both goods ‘in' and ‘out', you will be expected to maintain close working ties with all areas of the site including the sales and purchasing teams. In addition to warehouse duties this person will also do occasional Delivery Driving. This is a full-time role, 45 hours per week, Monday - Friday between 7am and 4.30pm. Warehouse Operative key duties: Maintenance of warehouse in line with health & safety Stock rotation Label & pick stock Deal with company, customer & supplier paperwork relating to goods. Liaise with office and sales staff as required Load/unload vans using pallet truck and fork truck General caretaking duties Other duties Put away stock Deal with customers who collect items Ensure the warehouse is kept tidy and clean ongoing Comply with all company ‘safe working procedures' Occasional driving duties include: Drive company vehicle (3.5 ton only) to deliver to customers or collect from suppliers as required (northwest only) Comply with daily van checks and weekly records as required Pick and load own vehicle if necessary Do you have the correct profile Must have full, current driving licence Experience of warehouse work and FLT essential Counterbalance FLT licence preferred but training/certificate can be provided if licence expired. Experience of delivery driving also preferable Must be polite and professional Must be a team player and able to take instruction as well as the ability to work on own initiative Must be customer service focussed The Package From the commencement of your employment, your paid holiday entitlement will be at the rate of 23 days per calendar year, plus bank holidays.
