About the Job
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you’ll be a key player in the Finance team, driving the seamless management of financial processes. Reporting to the Head of Finance and working closely with the Purchasing Manager, you’ll take ownership of all things Accounts Payable, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong supplier relationships.
Duties will include:
1. Reviewing invoices for accuracy, completeness, and approval.
2. Raising purchase orders and managing supplier communications for orders and deliveries.
3. Maintaining up-to-date financial records, matching invoices to orders and delivery notes.
4. Building and nurturing supplier relationships while resolving discrepancies.
5. Managing company credit card statements and processing employee expenses.
6. Updating supplier records, reconciling accounts, and addressing flagged issues.
7. Ensuring timely supplier payments and maintaining payment schedules.
8. Assisting with month-end, year-end processes, and audits.
About You
You’ll hold an AAT qualification or bring equivalent experience, with a strong grasp of finance systems and spreadsheets. Experience within an SME is a bonus. Detail-oriented and highly organised, you’re a team player who communicates effectively and thrives on solving challenges.
