About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in Clitheroe. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs. You will be supporting students with a range of learning and developmental needs, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance and care to thrive in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN.
Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to adapt learning materials and strategies.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
Support students with personal care, social interactions, and emotional well-being where necessary.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reports.
Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals as required.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable but not essential.
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to working with students.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle (travel to different sites may be required).
A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN training) is beneficial but not essential.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
