To carry out a full range of registered nurse duties, including assessment,planning, implementation and evaluation of the patients condition and care with support from the nurse in charge. To establish therapeutic relationships with service users, and the implementation of evidence based therapeutic interventions with appropriate boundaries in accordance with NMC professional code of conduct. To understand NICE quality standards and guidance relevant to area of practice and patient group. To prioritise nursing care, recognise deterioration in a patients condition and alert senior staff immediately. Participate in the health education and explanation of treatment to patients and relatives. Maintain a safe environment when caring for patients, including those requiring enhanced levels of monitoring. To promote involvement of service users, carers, and relatives within the service and for its provision. To ensure that the requirements of the Mental Health Act 2007 are observed, adhered to, and implemented. To escort patients in line with Trust Policy. To promote service user and carer involvement within the service and for its provision. To provide holistic care that incorporates excellence in physical health caremanagement.
