We seek an experienced Business Development Manager to join our fast-growing team. This role will shape the company's growth strategies, profitably growing our services through lead generation and face-to-face prospect meetings.
This is a field-based role, requiring a commutable distance to our Kent Depot. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of hitting annual targets and delivering distribution solutions for e-commerce clients.
* Source, negotiate and convert new business contracts with SMEs requiring domestic and/or international e-commerce delivery solutions.
* Identify and convert cross-selling opportunities covering our services, including domestic and international mail, pallet movements and medical distribution services.
* Work with our telesales team to identify new business opportunities, industry verticals and prospect pipelines.
* Attend face-to-face new business meetings to achieve target.
* Self-generate sales leads to achieve the weekly call target.
* Produce regular sales reports and pipeline activity reports via Salesforce.
* Strategically identify new sectors/opportunities to sell into.
* Assist with other sales-related tasks and projects within the business.
* Acquire a thorough understanding of client needs and requirements.
