This is an Office based role at Head Office in Deeside, North Wales.
Purpose of Role:
As a Insights Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Merchandising, Floor planning, Store Format, and Trading Administration teams. Your data-driven insights will help drive sales and achieve cost savings through supporting product space and ranging decisions across our estate.
1. Data Analysis: Collect, organize, analyse, and interpret data to provide actionable insights across several teams.
2. Reporting: Create and maintain regular reports and dashboards to deliver key insights into space and range performance across the Trading department, ensuring data is structured in an accessible and sustainable format.
3. Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to support data-driven decision-making.
4. Data Management: Ensure data accuracy and integrity is challenged and maintained to a high standard across your department.
5. Presentation: Translate complex data into clear and concise findings and recommendations for stakeholders.
6. Tool Proficiency: Utilize data analysis tools and software such as Excel, SQL, and BI tools.
7. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement scalable and sustainable solutions.
Key Accountabilities
8. Data Management: Help to maintain the accuracy and integrity of all ranging data, supporting wider teams with sourcing and understanding of all range related fields.
9. Insight: Responsible for providing key insights required to land all Floorplanning and Merchandising life cycles with maximum impact and in line with the departmental critical paths.
10. Department Support: Work to support the department with all data requirements and opportunities. Be a key contact for the Merchandisers, Floorplanners, Trading Administrators and Projects teams with respect to data and analysis.
11. Line Manager Support: Support the Data Insights Manager in the development and delivery of key initiatives.
12. Continuous Improvement: Help to identify and deliver new opportunities and improvements to departmental processes through data insight and ways of working.
Technical Skills:
13. Demonstratable proficiency in Microsoft Excel (or equivalent program), SQL and Microsoft Power BI.
14. Experience working across Microsoft Office and Sharepoint services.
Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience
15. A qualification in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering or demonstratable experience of applied data analysis.
16. Data warehouse and/or data workflow management experience preferred.
17. Experience in building and maintaining reporting dashboards.
18. A flexible approach to the working environment and able to demonstrate the ability to respond to a fast moving, rapidly changing market and business.
19. Experience in influencing and communicating with stakeholders.
