Job summary We are looking for highly motivated and experienced Band 7 senior clinical nurse specialist, and qualified Non-Medical prescriber (NMP) with leadership skills and a passion for working with young people and families. Your role will be to provide specialist assessments and nursing interventions, primarily to children and young people who have been referred in for an ADHD assessment and those open to the team's ADHD clinic. You will work closely with the ADHD clinic staff and in addition to your specialist NMP role, you will contribute to ADHD Duty cover as well as offering initial assessments to young people referred to the service. As a senior clinician, you will support the development of more junior staff, and contribute to the wider leadership of the team. As well as specialist NMP supervision, there are frequent NMP peer support and governance meetings as well as quarterly CPD meetings with medical and pharmacy colleagues. Main duties of the job The post holder will provide specialist assessments and nursing interventions to patients within a care group; participate in review of clinical policies and guidelines relevant to the area and support and implement changes to practice; liaise with other organisations and professionals to promote communication and good practice; be able to undertake audit activity and supervision to other staff in service area/care group. Have an understanding of psychosocial interventions to include psycho-education, wellness recovery action plans, Delivering with Delivering Well and discharge planning.
