There is currently an exciting opportunity for dynamic and self-motivated Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWP) to work for LSCFT NHS Talking Therapies within the Preston locality.

NHS Talking Therapies PWP’s offer accessible screening, assessment and treatment for common mental health problems. We like to make sure we offer a variety of options as one size does not fit all.
Not only are we a flexible service for those accessing us as we run groups, offer telephone, video online (Attend Anywhere) and face-to-face treatment sessions. We offer a flexible Hybrid working model to staff consisting of days from home and clinics within a variety of community settings including the office.
PWPs also have an important link role developing relationships with local GP practices and advocating health promotion within the wider community.
Our team members are encouraged to develop specialisms by taking on champion roles such as long term conditions, young people, safeguarding, BAME, older adults and substance misuse.
As part of the role you will be expected to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service. This may include early morning and late evening appointments as well as the possibility of working some Saturday mornings.

1. To provide high quality primary care Talking Therapies services to adults with mild to moderate mental health problems.
2. To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of team policies and procedure.
3. To deliver Talking Therapies services in accordance with NICE guidelines, within agreed activity levels and model, meeting required key performance indicators (KPIs).
4. To provide advice and consultation on client’s care, to other clinicians and to non-professional carers.
5. To promote wellbeing and social inclusion.
6. To work flexibly and in accordance with service demands. This may include support or clinical supervision of band 4 practitioners where appropriate.
7. To work to the agreed number of clinical contacts per week as set by the Team Lead
Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
