SF Recruitment are delighted to be exclusively partnered with a well-established and rapidly growing service business based in the Aldridge area in the recruitment of a Senior Management Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business looking to continue to expand through acquisitions and organic growth. The successful candidate will have experience within a similar role with experience producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts, have strong financial controls experience and be excited by the prospect of working for a constantly evolving business.
This role will continue to develop as the business grows and you will help shape the direction of the business and finance function. Opportunities for growth into a management position will come quickly with this role!
Duties include:
1. Lead the Finance team with month-end and year-end tasks including accruals, prepayments, ledger maintenance and balance sheet reconciliations.
2. Analysing P&L movements against the budget and prior months to provide commentary around variances.
3. Manage Fixed Asset register and transition from manual entries to system generated register.
4. Weekly payment run, including report, checking and payment journal.
5. Creation of ad-hoc payment journals and remittances.
6. Bank Reconciliations.
7. Assist with cashflow forecasting.
8. Support the team with the Annual Budget and Audit work.
9. Play a substantial role in integrating acquisitions to the company systems.
Requirements:
1. Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA.
2. Have a strong background in Finance, with experience working in a busy Finance department.
3. Be able to use their initiative and be self-motivated.
4. Have strong Microsoft Excel skills.
