We are instructed by a rated international firm in London to source an experienced Corporate Lawyer, with ideally 3-5 years' experience, to join their team for 6-12 months. The role is to start ASAP to cover a period of leave within the team and will require 3 days a week in the London office. This is a general corporate role with high-end M&A and general corporate work, often with an international element, for an established client base across investors, founders, corporates and entrepreneurs. Whilst working on high-end deals and with the prestige of an international firm, the firm has a distinctive, supportive client base and culture alongside reasonable hours, which makes this an exciting opportunity for a City lawyer to further their career. The role may encompass the full range of corporate M&A, venture capital investment and advisory work. The successful individual can expect to be a key member of the team from the outset, work closely with Partners across the team and be involved in drafting and negotiating share and asset purchase agreements, shareholders' and investment agreements, articles of association and related documents. Suitable candidates need to be able to produce excellent first drafts of a suite of documents and help lead the delivery of a transaction. Applicants are likely to be able to demonstrate: Qualification in England & Wales (preferable). (Applications from lawyers qualified in other commonwealth jurisdictions, such as Australia and New Zealand for example, with relevant UK based experience are also welcome). Ideally between 3-5 years' PQE in handling a full corporate caseload Experience gained from leading or top 50 London firms Solid technical experience in corporate law Strong interpersonal skills and excellent academics The ability to start a new role immediately or at short notice The capacity to commit to a 6-12 month FTC Due to the imminent start date, successful applicants are likely to be immediately available or available at very short notice.
