Summer of Play - Admin & Marketing Assistant

At the Root Arts are looking to contract a freelance Admin & Marketing Assistant for their Summer of Play programme.
The role of the Admin & Marketing Assistant is required for the Summer of Play 2025 programme as part of activities provided by At the Root Arts CIC.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Support the delivery of marketing plans and activities, which increase bookings and develop our membership.
2. Assist with the marketing budget.
3. Assist the Creative Director in the smooth running, creation, and publication of all marketing materials.
4. Support general administration work throughout Summer including bookings, marketing, and general customer enquiries.
We are looking for a person who:
1. Contributes to the creation of marketing plans for our Summer of Play programme.
2. Assists on all social media output across our channels including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
3. Can undertake specific marketing projects.
4. Has an understanding of marketing and audience engagement.
5. Has experience using social media for marketing a business or organisation.
6. Has an interest in the arts.
7. Has knowledge of Canva.
The contract will be on a freelance basis, starting as a contract of 50 hours paid at £14 per hour with a possibility of extension. The 50 hours will be over a period from May - July with working hours being 4 hours per week. The successful candidate can work days as agreed between themselves and the director.
