Technical Services Manager - Belfast
To £325/Day DOE (6 months contract)
We are partnered with a leading engineering & construction contractor with a reputation in delivering world-class projects across a diverse range of industries dedicated to ensuring quality, safety, and sustainability. Due to continued growth, we are now looking for an experienced Technical Services Manager for mechanical and electrical strip out and refurbishment projects. As a Technical Services Manager, you will be responsible forthe effective planning, coordination, and execution of M&E systems fit out and refurbishment, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry regulations, and health & safety standards.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
* Reporting to Project Manager, you will develop and implement detailed project plans, method statements, and risk assessments in coordination with designers, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor quality and ensure compliance with current regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
* Identify potential challenges or risks related to construction projects and develop solutions promptly.
* Lead and mentor a team of engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
* Maintain accurate records of all construction activities, including daily progress reports, inspection logs, and material deliveries and provide detailed reports to senior management.
* Attend and actively participate in project meetings, providing technical input and status updates when required.
* Degree/qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
* 5+ years of experience in M&E project management, preferably in fit out and refurbishment projects.
* Strong knowledge in building regulations, CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations, and health & safety standards.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams.
* Strong problem-solving abilities, with the ability to make decisions under pressure and manage project risks effectively.
* Effective communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to clients, stakeholders, and team members.
