We have an exciting opportunity to join the Administrative Team atMontpelier Health Centre. We have a vacancy in our team for hours perweek. We are looking for an experienced administrator that can provide highquality administrative support within our practice.
Workingas part of a team you will ensure that all incoming clinical correspondence isprocessed in a timely manner in accordance with the practice document workflowprocess. You will summarise incoming patient records using the correct clinicalcodes within a defined timescale. You will contribute to the processing ofoutgoing patient referrals. Full training will be provided and once fullytrained there is scope to learn other administrative functions within the practice.
Main duties of the job
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Summarising:
1. Extract clinical information including operations/diagnosis from new patients medical records and enter onto patients computer records following the practice protocol and QOF guidance.
Document Workflow:
2. Scan incoming clinical documents onto patients computer records, following the practice document workflow process.
3. Download and process incoming electronic clinical documents (via CDS, Email and EMIS)
Coding:
4. Code patients records with details of operations/diagnosis information retrieved from incoming clinical letters.
Referrals/secretarial duties:
5. Assist the secretarial team to process outgoing patient referrals via the E-referral system. As well as preparing letters for patients/third parties.

You will help process the workflow of clinical records andcorrespondence safely and accurately. This includes scanning, coding, andattaching documentation to patients records. Some secretarial type duties toinclude processing referrals, preparing patient correspondence. This rolerequires a high level of concentration.

6. Strong attention to detail with a good understanding of the need for accuracy with regards to patient data
7. Good understanding of medical terminology
8. Proficient in the use of EMIS Web, and Microsoft Word applications
9. Excellent written and oral communication skills

12. Ability to work under pressure in a constructive and helpful manner.
