Cryptographic Custodian Advisor – BAE Systems
Location: Barrow-in-Furness
Salary / Rate: £65.50 PAYE or £85.15 Umbrella
Duration: 12 months
Working arrangements: Full time on site – Fridays can be flexible – if and when required
About the Role:
1. Serve as the principal adviser on cryptographic security matters.
2. Act as Cryptographic Custodian, ensuring the safe custody and handling of cryptographic materials.
3. Collaborate with security teams and external agencies to create secure, resilient environments.
4. Provide expert guidance on security policies and compliance.
5. Represent the Security Department in meetings and contribute to strategic objectives.
Key Skills:
1. Completion of MOD recognised Custodian Training.
2. Experience in a security role, ideally within CNI, Defence, or a similar regulated environment.
3. Strong knowledge of cryptographic asset management.
