St Michael's Hospice Retail is responsible for the operation of the chain of St Michael's Hospice charity shops and its Donation Centre. We have an exciting opportunity for a part time Delivery & Collection Driver.
As an experienced driver with a clean driving licence, you will be familiar with 3.5 tonne box vans and the safe operation of a tail lift and long wheel base 3.5 tonne transit vans.
You will be working as part of a 2 person team, collecting and delivering furniture and other heavy items in the East Sussex area. Reliable and hardworking, you will be physically fit with good local geographical knowledge.
As you will be working within a team you will have good communication and organisational skills and demonstrate high levels of customer service to our donors, volunteers and staff. In addition to your primary role, you will on occasion be required to cover for other roles in the warehouse team during staff absence or busy periods.
On occasion you may have to work on your own and therefore need a high level of self-motivation. You need to be flexible to cover holidays, sickness and changing business needs. There may be some evening and weekend work to support retail events for which you will receive time off in lieu.
This position is based at our Donation Centre (Unit 1 Queensway Avenue South, St Leonards on SEa, East Sussex, TN38 9AG), where there is a free car park.
