QC Lab Technician, Warrington Plant
Responsible for checking that products meet necessary quality standards, conducting routine testing and inspection of raw materials and finished products in accordance with the inspection plan and ensuring all administration and documentation is completed to the required standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the quality manager to ensure finished products are inspected according to standards and identify defective production not suitable for release in a timely fashion.
* Learn the use of test equipment and understand their international standards to perform and report accurate tests on materials and finished products.
* Check that products meet national and international quality standards with the authority to stop production where non-conformity arises.
* Conduct routine testing and inspection of raw materials and finished products in accordance with the inspection plan and associated administration and documentation.
* Conduct routine calibration of test equipment.
* Complete all administrational and labelling requirements associated with Cofoam production according to standards.
* Assist the quality manager to ensure raw material deliveries are inspected and released according to standards and identify defective materials not suitable for consumption.
* Learn the use of injection moulding machines and apply this knowledge to prepare test specimens according to internal and international standards.
* Assist the quality manager/Laboratory manager in other activities, including Cofoam testing and inspection.
* Assist PAD developer achieve development lab objectives when required.
Person Specification
Work Experience:
* 1-2 years’ experience in quality control or laboratory environment, preferably within the polymer manufacturing industry.
Skills:
* Experience of injection moulding and polymer extrusion.
* Good analytical skills with a good understanding of test equipment and methods for the polymer industry.
* Good communication skills internally within the quality team and across operational departments.
Min. Qualifications
* Minimum GCSE’s in Mathematics, English, and Science subjects.

We offer an attractive compensation package, dependent on skills and experience, and participation in the Company’s discretionary short-term incentive (bonus) programme. Currently, the full-year target bonus for this position is 6% of base salary.
The holiday entitlement is 25 days per annum plus bank holidays.
