Stannah has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Curved Rail Department based at Andover.
This job will involve supporting the existing product range and the introduction of new products and processes into Design & Manufacturing, which will increase our product offering as well as improving productivity and quality.
As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will work Monday to Thursday from 07:00 to 16:45. This job is a permanent contract.
This is a great opportunity for candidates who have a good understanding of processes such as sheet metal, fabrication (including welding), assembly, machining, moulding, and fastenings. Proven experience in the application of best manufacturing practices is essential; you should be able to continuously improve processes and eliminate waste using lean manufacturing techniques.
To be successful as the Manufacturing Engineer, it is essential that you have previous experience in CAD packages, to create 3D models and associated drawings, preferably with the use of Solidworks. Experience in a modern manufacturing environment would be desirable.
Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:
* Support the development and implementation of new products and processes.
* Ensure products can be manufactured efficiently, cost-effectively, and to a high standard of quality.
* Support corrective and preventative action activities, reporting on root cause analysis and actions undertaken.
* Implement PFMEA throughout manufacturing.
* Participate in design reviews to ensure Design for Manufacture (DFM).
* Coordinate all prototypes/production trials and provide manufacturing feedback to Design Engineering.
Manufacturing Engineer Requirements:
* A degree or equivalent is desirable, but not essential.
* Previous experience in a modern manufacturing environment is desirable.
