JOB MISSION:
New Balance is looking for an Associate Marketing Manager – Community Running and Activations within its UK & Ireland team to deliver a cohesive approach to year-round programmes of grassroots performance activation. Working across the team, you will support the performance strategy with a focus on running through product launches, retailer activations, guerilla & owned event opportunities and stand-out cultural & brand moments through a network of communities, ensuring purpose is central to those relationships.
Maintaining existing strong relationships and building new connections, this role will ensure that key cities are focused on and that our community and run club partners are aligned to the brands values and objectives.
The role would be suited to someone with experience in marketing activations and the ideal candidate will have a strong interest in running, sportswear retail and community engagement.
The role requires someone proactive and a good communicator with strong organizational and stakeholder management skills.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Support the UK marketing team, working closely with Technical Representatives and Brand ambassadors to authentically engage with communities, specialty retailers and strategic key partners through product testing, focused product launches and promotional activations.
2. Activate a community running strategy to support the sell-thru of product in line with the EMEA objectives, with a focus on growing brand association within running.
3. Research and develop the community running strategy in alignment to consumer insight data to identify regional epicenters and opportunities.
4. Build and develop a considered community portfolio, maintaining established relationships and crafting new relationships, through seeding, retailer partnerships, activations, local initiatives, and key regional events.
5. Support the planning and execution of owned and guerilla marketing activations in-line with key cultural moments and strategic events, working cross functionally to develop commercial and partnership opportunities whilst ensuring consistent storytelling.
6. Monitor and report on industry trends and activity at the intersection of sport and culture, with a consideration of their influence on the community strategy.
