Job Description Job Title: Freelance Account Manager – B2B Events Agency Location: London Bridge, London (Hybrid: 3 days in-office, 2 days WFH) Contract Type: Freelance About the Role: I’m working with a leading B2B events agency based in London Bridge that’s looking for an experienced Freelance Account Manager to join their Client Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-3 years of account management experience in the events sector—particularly in conferences, exhibitions, or tradeshows —who is available immediately or at short notice. In this role, you’ll be the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring smooth and successful event delivery. You’ll collaborate with internal teams while managing high-profile B2B events from start to finish. This position is ideal for a freelancer looking to expand their portfolio with a reputable agency and potentially grow into a longer-term or permanent role. What You’ll Be Doing: Client Relationship Management: Serve as the main liaison for clients, fostering strong and lasting relationships. Event Delivery: Oversee the full lifecycle of B2B events (conferences, exhibitions, tradeshows), ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard. Strategic Insight: Understand client goals and provide strategic recommendations to drive event success. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams—including creative, production, and marketing—to ensure cohesive execution. Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, manage expenses, and ensure financial accuracy. Problem Solving: Address client concerns swiftly and effectively, ensuring a high level of satisfaction. Business Development: Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell services to existing clients. What They’re Looking For: Experience: 2-3 years of experience as an Account Manager in a B2B events environment (conference, exhibition, or tradeshow experience is essential). Events Expertise: A solid understanding of the event management lifecycle and industry best practices. Relationship Builder: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly. Project Management: Skilled at juggling multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strategic Thinker: Proactive and solutions-oriented, with the ability to think both creatively and strategically. Budget Management: Previous experience managing event budgets and tracking project finances. Flexible & Adaptable: Able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Nice to Have: Experience working with corporate clients across various industries. Familiarity with ProSim or similar event management software/tools. Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
