Role Overview
The successful candidate will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and contributing to the ongoing development of the Science department.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for KS5 teaching)
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students
Assess, track, and report on the progress of students in line with school policies
Contribute to curriculum development and the sharing of best practice within the department
Foster a positive classroom environment that supports both student learning and well-being
Participate actively in the school's continuous improvement initiatives
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a degree in Science or a related subject. You should have experience teaching at KS3 and KS4, with experience or willingness to teach KS5 seen as advantageous. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Science and committed to raising student achievement in an improving school environment.
Essential Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Degree in Science or a related discipline
Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 levels
