Description: The Specialist Resilience Housing Coordinator will provide specialist casework to applicants experiencing domestic abuse. The Resilience Team will also embed safeguarding best practices across the Housing Advisory Service. They must have expert knowledge of welfare, housing and homelessness policy, legislation, and practice, as well as specialist knowledge of Domestic Abuse and Safeguarding policy and practice.
Pay Grade: SO2
Female Only as Solely domestic abuse cases being handled.
Experience, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Experience:
1. Significant experience of providing specialist homelessness casework to homeless applicants with more complex needs, such as survivors of domestic abuse
2. Significant experience of working collaboratively to improve outcomes for homeless applicants with more complex needs, such as survivors of domestic abuse
Skills:
3. Ability and experience to consistently deliver high levels of customer service to homeless applicants with more complex needs, such as survivors of domestic abuse
4. Ability and experience of ensuring all aspects of casework is carried out in accordance with legislation, strategies policies and initiatives set out at the national, regional and local level
5. Ability and experience of consistently achieving performance objectives in the provision of specialist homelessness casework
6. Ability to contribute to the identification, dissemination and embedding of existing and emerging best practice within the team, and across the wider Housing Advisory Service
7. Ability to effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders, including applicants, members, partners, and so on
Knowledge:
8. Significant knowledge of welfare, homelessness and housing policy, strategies, legislation, and case law, and its implementation within a statutory homelessness service
Qualifications & Professional registration criteria
1. High level of education or equivalent demonstratable experience
2. Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
