This role involves overseeing and managing highway schemes from the pre-construction phase through to project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing projects to ensure coordination of multi-disciplinary inputs
Managing resources effectively and efficiently to meet fluctuating workloads
Working with clients, contractors, statutory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure works are completed on time and within budget
Leading the pre-construction process and coordinating project delivery teams
Supporting less experienced colleagues through technical review, mentoring and advice
Participating in tender bids and business development opportunities
Developing relationships with other teams to utilise additional resources for multidisciplinary projects
Agreeing fees and managing the commercial position on projects
Managing specialist subconsultant inputs
Job Requirements:
Experience in project management and supervision of medium to high complexity highway schemes
Proven knowledge in the design, maintenance, and supervision of highways related projects, including new build, maintenance, and assessment of road infrastructure
Proven working knowledge of NEC contracts; NEC Project Manager or Site Supervisor accreditation preferred
Chartered Civil Engineer or an Incorporated Engineer with extensive post-professional qualification experience
Knowledge of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCDHW)
