Job Hours:
The job is for 9am till 6pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and every Saturday from 9am till 5pm.
Responsibilities of the job:
* Managing over-the-counter sales of medication and providing healthcare advice to customers.
* Completing a course to achieve the Medicine Counter Assistant qualification, which will be fully sponsored.
* Using the EPOS till system, maintaining stock levels, receiving and inputting orders, pricing, and maintaining the general appearance and cleanliness of the shop areas, including expiry date checking of products.
* Potential involvement in pharmacy services such as becoming a stop-smoking advisor, allergy screening, diabetes screening, and becoming a health champion.
* Dispensing medication for customers and using the dispensary computer system. Completing the Dispensary Assistant Qualification is compulsory, and this training will be fully sponsored.
Required Work Experience:
* Previous experience working in a pharmacy is preferable but not compulsory.
* Previous experience working with EPOS is preferable but not compulsory.
Skill Set Required:
* Ability to provide excellent customer service in a professional and friendly manner.
* Drive, motivation to learn, and willingness to study and complete the required courses.
* Team player; willing to work with others to achieve a main goal.
* Willingness to take responsibility for actions, as this is a healthcare job and carries significant responsibility.
* Good computer skills.
