Technical Support Engineer
Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer to join a specialist chemical manufacturer based in Hampshire. Our client is looking for an enthusiastic candidate with a background in engineering.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide extensive technical support and backup to UK & European distributors.
2. Develop and implement testing programmes.
3. Maintain and expand central knowledge databases for product and application information.
4. Attend site visits to support sales staff with technical details.
5. Answer calls and emails relating to technical support.
6. Host training sessions and hands-on demonstrations of the products.
7. Handle product quality complaints.
8. Assist with quality control when the QC Technician is absent.
9. Write technical articles and product PR.
10. Update CRM database, forwarding sales leads to relevant departments.
Requirements:
1. Experience within a similar role.
2. Experience working with adhesives, sealants, coatings, or paints is advantageous.
3. Science-based qualification or degree.
4. Engineering background.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Willing to travel to Europe occasionally.
7. Full UK driving licence.
The Technical Support Engineer Role:
1. Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm.
2. Negotiable salary depending on experience.
3. Annual Bonus.
4. Willingness to travel, including European travel and attending exhibitions.
5. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
6. Generous pension contribution.
