We are recruiting for a thriving nursery looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and motivational Senior Nursery Practioner. This is an exciting opportunity is to oversee a nursery where we focus on encouraging children to be children, learning through fun and engaging play. You will be working with a dedicated team in a caring, family friendly, characterful, and stimulating environment which is inviting to children, parents, and staff.

The Senior Nursery Practitioner is a key member of the early years team and is responsible for delivering high quality care and learning opportunities for children based on their needs and interests.
Duties:
•To give support to other personnel within the setting
•To lead a team of professional workers and to ensure good practice at all times
•To implement the daily routine in your base room
•To plan and organise staffing schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained in accordance with Local Authority guidelines and setting procedures;
•Promote positive relationships in the early years setting
•Promote the health, safety and well-being of the children
•Support the development of the children's development learning and play
•Be a key person, carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with a small group of children and their families
•Support the children's social, emotional and mental wellbeing reflecting a Trauma Perceptive Practice approach
•Contribute to the effectiveness of team work
•To be a role model and be able to showcase high quality practice with regards to individual and group work with children
•To take responsibility alongside the Nursery Management Team for the safety, security and well-being of all children, staff and visitors at all times
•To ensure that safeguarding procedures are followed in line with the Local Authority and Company procedures
•To embrace, understand and promote Small Wonders and to understand the role you play as part of the team to provide high levels of care and education
•To work alongside the management team to be responsible for Health and Safety Policies and Procedures at nursery

Requirements:
•Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
•Experience within an Early Years leadership role
•Experience of developing high performance teams, with effective regulatory compliance, quality improvement, delivery of high-quality pedagogy, innovation and service excellence
•Confident decision maker, with ability to support change and the understanding of the complex relationship between business/commerce and service excellence within a regulated setting
•Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
•Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues, parents and external partners
