About the role We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in Shipley. This is a full-time role starting ASAP, covering Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable). Position Details: Location: Shipley Contract: Full time Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates will be considered) Essential Requirements QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification. Eligibility to work in the UK. A strong understanding of the UK Science curriculum. An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one). Skills Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Ability to deliver engaging and interactive lessons. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Confidence in using technology and digital resources in teaching. Team player with collaborative and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt teaching to support diverse learning needs. Responsibilities Deliver high-quality Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students. Plan engaging and challenging lessons that meet the needs of all students. Prepare students for exams and assessments. Attend parents' evenings and meet with parents to discuss student progress. Participate in professional development opportunities to continue your own growth. Uphold school policies and procedures at all times. Promote and encourage student involvement in extracurricular activities. Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the needs of diverse learners. Set high expectations for behaviour and academic achievement.
