You will assist in the performance and maintenance of the financial activities of the organisation with responsibility for the day-to-day delivery and ongoing development of their areas of focus.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the finance team in any queries, ensuring the finance function as a whole meet deadlines, and work together to cover peak periods or absences
Overseeing end-to-end finance operations processes
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our finance processes
Assist in preparation of VAT returns
Ensuring compliance with solicitor accounts rules (“SAR”), anti-money laundering and VAT regulations
Support with monthly Company payroll processes and compliance with relevant regulations
Complete month-end and year-end routines in conjunction with the wider team
Perform various reconciliations and financial analysis as required
Carry out various costing exercises as required by the Company, gathering and analysing relevant financial data as required
Work closely with Head of Finance providing them with business information
Display a professional, motivated, and pro-active approach to all workplace activities
Coach junior members of the team

Skills and Experience:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in relevant finance roles
Desirable experience in financial or professional services sector
Desirable experience of payroll operational processes
Experience using Xero software
Desirable Advanced Excel skills
AAT part qualified - Level 3 completed (Essential)
AAT qualified – MAAT (Desirable)
